Introduction
The Way Ahead with TheWayCM
The number of countries now affiliated with TheWayCM has grown and there are currently around 28 different and unique countries that are part of what we do all around the world.
The call on TheWayCM is to Make Disciples out of Christians and that has to be the core motivation for anyone who is called to be a part of what we do. If you are mistakenly drawn to work with TheWayCM in the hope of making money from us you have no part in the work we do.
Currently, we have been arranging a mission to our overseas co-workers every two years or so, but this is becoming increasingly more difficult as the work expands. Although visits are necessary we are now working on alternative ways of connecting with you using modern technology. We have a number of foreign language podcasts, produced weekly, that should serve as a fresh resource in the countries where those languages are spoken. Every week we also produce and make available a variety of discipleship resources in English. Please follow this link to see what is available and how to access it: http://www.thewaycm.com/community.html
Our aim, this year, is to begin to broadcast Virtual Conferences into a number of countries simultaneously from our ministry base in Scotland using Skype software or something similar. There should be a live translation in the language of the countries where the broadcast is received.
We are also looking to use existing broadcasting platforms; local and national radio, local cable and national TV, to make our resources available to a wider audience throughout as many counties as we can.
TheWayCM has a strategy for discipleship called Training for Life (TFL) and all of our affiliates should be part of this strategy. Please follow this link for more information: http://www.globaltfl.com/
Our affiliated Apostolic Overseers will receive our resources free.
We will need singleness of focus, personal discipline and unwavering obedience to the Lord for us to see this work succeed. We will run this race together and we will win the prize when the Lord says, ‘Well done good and faithful servant’.
Let us all pray together for the Lord’s continuing anointing to be upon us and our work as we fulfil the Great Commission together.
Matthew 28:18-20…. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Way Ahead
Trained Teams
As the work of The Way Christian Ministries (TheWayCM) continues to grow around the world more and more people are inviting us to minister in their country. We need to raise-up international teams who can help us with the work. These teams must be trained and this can happen at a local Training for Life Centre or at the International Training Centre at Kilcreggan House in Scotland.
Before we accept an invitation to minister in a new place, TheWayCM will send out Training for Life (TFL) materials in order for ‘Foundations’ to be started in advance of our visit. The application and development of the course will determine the dates and length of our visit.
Much of the initial interest that leads to an invitation comes as a result of the response to the Gist; a free weekly devotional in many different languages.
Discipleship Vision
The Gist is like a big net that is cast out to many thousands of people every week (“I will make you fishers of men”) and some of those fish/people will want more training. Those people are then introduced into a Home Church where they are taken through the “Foundations” course and eventually (read the link) they become involved with our Training for Life course (TFL).
Ideally we want this training done in the student’s native language. At the moment the “Foundations” course is prepared in English, Nepalese, Spanish and Swahili. There is much work to do and one of the principal purposes of this discipleship strategy is to make disciples (of Jesus Christ) who, in turn make disciples. In this way we are continually raising up teams to run with the vision and to share in the work.
Foundations Course
http://www.globaltfl.com/free-foundations.html
The Foundations course has been developed to prepare a solid and strong foundation upon which Christians can build their Christian faith.
Although highly beneficial for new Christians, this discipleship course, along with the companion study notes, will benefit all Christians…..
After completing the ‘Foundations’ course the next stage of TFL is to work through a Seven Weeks Bible Reading Course.
This course is taken from The Way of the Spirit it will enable the dynamic disciple to read the word of God for the life that it contains. It will bring deeper revelation of Jesus Christ through God’s word.
Home Church Vision - The Strategy
The leaders go through the seven teachings from the “Foundations” DVD in seven sessions over one or two days then the Home Churches go through the seven sessions one per week for seven weeks (with the leaders leading). On the eighth week a planned public baptism takes place for all the new converts and this also becomes a recruitment opportunity for the next wave of “Foundations” teachings in the newly started wave of Home Churches.
Meanwhile, the original Home Churches move on to a seven-weeks-long short course lifted from The Way of the Spirit Bible Reading Course e.g. “The Drama of Salvation”. On the eighth week there is another public baptism (or similar public event) from which a new (third wave) of Home Churches are started.
The original group of Home Churches now move onto the Training for Life (TFL) course in full, the second wave go onto “The Drama of Salvation” (or similar short course) and the first group start the “Foundations” DVDs. And so it goes on……
Remember that in each Home Church the leader must be looking for potential leaders to assist him/her and to take on the leadership of new Home Churches.
Eventually the original Home Church leaders will become Apostolic Overseers for the groups of Home Churches that they oversee and they will also work together with other Apostolic Overseers and some of these will become part of the National Apostolic Team that assist you, as the anointed Apostolic Leader, with the national oversight of the work.
There will be much work for everyone involved and forming a team, as God leads, is essential…….
It is good to hear how the Home Churches are flourishing. Remember the importance of raising-up a ‘called and anointed’ apostolic team to work with the ministry leader. The work will grow too big for one person alone.
Leaders, look for people in whom you can reproduce yourself and raise up in Christ. You have the apostle’s anointing but remember that they do not. Each team member will have a function under your mantle but no one person will be able to do all that you do, therefore raise up a team in which people are called in specific areas of your anointing……e.g. pastor, teacher, evangelist and prophet. You will also need anointed administrators and those with the gift of helps (to drive, to cook, to do the practical work: these would be deacons)
The structure of the ministry should look something like this ……..
Rev. Peter (TheWayCM teams) > National Apostle and his apostolic team (this team will include elders from different regions) > the Home Church overseers (elders) and their assistants (deacons) from every region > the people.
All of us endeavour to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
Every blessing,
Rev. Peter Stanway
(Apostle and CEO)
